Help Support Zazu’s House Parrot Sanctuary

We desperately need donations

Zazu’s House operates 100% with an all-volunteer staff and NO administrative salaries or paid directors. When you donate, you can be sure that 100% of the money you give will go directly towards one of the following:

•Veterinary expenses, medical care, health maintenance
•Feed – e.g. fresh food, exotic bird seed and pellets, nuts, toys
•Expansion and maintenance of flight centers
•Utility costs (more than $2000/month just for propane costs)

We run on a very tight budget, and unfortunately, with the state of the economy this year, donations have been down. Even a $10 donation can make a difference!

Since the inception of its 501(c)3 charitable organization status in 2008,  Zazu’s House has been a place of refuge for many neglected and abused parrots.  We provide the care needed to allow these animals to thrive in a secure and loving environment for the rest of their lives.

Zazu’s House survives solely by the goodness and generosity of people who truly love birds, who believe in what we do and who are willing to financially support our cause.  It is very expensive to provide the quality medical care, food and appropriate housing needed for each of the parrots that has come to live here at the Sanctuary.   Many of the birds arrive here in desperate condition and need a lifetime of medical assistance and constant therapy.

Our vision goes beyond the obvious tasks of rescuing and caring for animals.  Our hope is to help reduce the large number of parrots left in distressful situations.

Zazu’s House is now on the Boeing and Microsoft matching program.  So if you work at either Boeing or Microsoft their employer will match their donation.
Also their employer will donate toward their volunteer hours!

Boeing offers generous matching programs for employees to increase their positive community impact through charitable donations, volunteer hours and participation in fundraising walks. The three match programs can be used alone or in combination for a maximum match of $6,000 per employee per year to eligible organizations.

Microsoft provides financial support to organizations which employees care about by matching employee donations to nearly all 501(c)(3) organizations.

Additionally, Microsoft provides grants to nonprofits where employees volunteer regularly. For every hour an employee volunteers, Microsoft will provide $17 to the organization.
